The cloves burned my throat when I inhaled it. It’s a good cigarette, gets you buzzed but it’s just too much cloves. I haven’t tried the notrmal blacks yet but i plan on ordering those next.

US customer here.. So I’m not a regular smoker.. anywhere between 0 and a few packs a year.. but when I do smoke, Djarum Black Menthol have always been my go to.. it’s unfortunate they appear to be indefinitely discontinued.. so I decided to roulette my order.. I grabbed 2 packs of the Djarum Super, 2 packs of original Black, one Capaccino, and one Sampoerna Mild Menthol Burst.

In retrospect, I should have ordered 3 capaccino and 3 menthol burst… the Supers were very disappointing to me.. they are the size of a normal cigarette and bit harsh imo without enough of the clove taste or smell I enjoy.

The Capaccino I prefer over the original black because it is milder and less harsh, with a very very slight coffee-ish after taste.

The recommendation for people who want Djarum Black Menthol is the GG menthol kretek, but I didn’t care for the flashy marketing on the packages and all the new hip weird flavor burst cigs they sell, so I decided to try Sampoerna’s menthol kretek. It pretty much tastes just like a Djarum Black menthol. The menthol is subtle which is nice, even if you burst the little ball thing. It doesn’t crackle as much as a Djarum, and I’m a bit sad the Capaccino and Sampoerna kreteks aren’t black, which laugh if you want but it’s what I’m used to. But going forward, I think a combo of the Capaccino and Sampoerna Menthol will be my go to.

Did not taste much difference between these and regular Blacks, but they’re a good, if thin, clove cigarette.

Well packaged and prompt delivery (given the transport mode), as always!

Since Djarum no longer sells the Black Menthol, I decided to try a few new kreteks. The Cappuccino doesn’t distinctly taste like cappuccino, but it is lighter and smoother than a regular Black. I enjoyed them.

Delicious and sweet, plus a lot milder than the standards. Not black though which is a shame.

My first time trying these cigarettes and they are ok. They have a nice clove flavor and are really smooth but not enough of a throat hit for me. They’re a little too smooth for my liking.

On the heavy side, very sweet and flavourful.
