Now I have tried all three Djarum Blacks (Black, Menthol and Cappucino), and they just don´t work for me. Too bad, I kind of wanted to like them.
Djarum Black Cappucino is softer than the, in my opinion, harsh and unbalanced Djarum Black. It is still full of taste, and if nothing else were available, I would smoke DBCs over any regular cigarette. Cloves, sweetness, tobacco, some extra spices – it has them, but somehow it lacks personality, and ends up just being generic. I don´t think that DBC is a straight Djarum Black with added cappucino, by the way, but an altered blend.
The cappucino flavour… well, there is definitely something extra there. But if they, without changing the taste of the cigarette, had put hazelnuts and bottles, or some dark chocolate toffee thing on the packet, they could have called it DB Hazelnut Liquor or DB Chocotoffee, and gotten away with that, in my opinion. Personally, I think the extra – and very weak – flavour resembles coffee with a dash of Jägermeister. DBC is also a slim, which doesn´t sit well with me.
Djarum Black Cappucino is definitely not a bad kretek, but it just doesn´t work for me. It´s rich, but also rich in blandness; full of taste, but also full of mediocrity. I think you should try a pack, if you haven´t already. Most people seem to like the various DBs a lot. I think, depending on my mood, that my true rating for DBC would be constantly moving between 3,2 to 3,6. Me and DB/DBM/DBC just don´t get along, so give these a try, and see what you think.

I give this cigarette an 8/10 overall. It has a smooth draw with a very distinct flavor. The body isn’t overwhelming but I highly suggest drinking a cup of coffee or a mocha while smoking to enhance the pleasurable experience. I don’t recommend dragging on it fast, a slow smooth inhale will do the trick perfectly. The aftertaste is not bad but also not very good either. Definitely worth smoking after a hard day of work. Give it a try it was a great experience!

Good, but it doesn’t necessarily remind me of a cappuccino. However, taste and experience is subjective per person. Exhaling through the nose and mouth really accentuates the flavor, I still think the original Djarum Black’s are better but these ones are just as good with a cup of coffee. So, I’m in between on this one. Regardless, five star rating. Try them for yourself and see what you think.

These bring back memories of the classic cloves! Love them and would’ve. Given it 5? but I was expecting a more cappuccino flavor and aroma. But if you like clove cigarettes, these are excellent!

The most sensational djarum cloves I’ve ever smoked. So cheap and flavorful, unlike anything I have ever had. Be regressive when you smoke it and let it crackle, don’t take it in too fast, and just unwind with it. And the smell left on your fingers and clothes is incredible!
