Description

CGW Tambolaka Pipe Tobacco 20 grams in resealable bag.

The way Tambolaka is made is very time consuming and similar to perique. Tobacco farmers take the newly harvested leaves and roll them very tightly into long poles about 10 feet long. Then they wrap the poles with rope or cord very tightly and store them for a minimum of 5 years. During that time anaerobic fermentation turns the leaves black.

Tambolaka tobacco are usually sold in slices that you have to cut into cube or shred into lose/shag cut yourself. It is recommended that you steam it to help separate the leaves then you cut them however you’d like. Now what came in the sample was already cut in lose ribbon cut, and apparently its a bit messy and time consuming to actually prepare it yourself.

My notes: Earthly, Leather, slight spice in the back of the throat. It seems to have a much higher nicotine content thus you should have a full stomach before smoking. Very rich, full smoke, and you don’t need to smoke much to feel the nicotine.

these were one of 6 things I ordered. took 17 days to arrive, and out of everything I ordered these are without competition my favorite. they come in a small tin that’s actually colored dark reddish, similar to what the picture of the expresso flavored villiger mini’s look like. the cigars themselves are wrapped in brown paper/leaf? are about the diameter of a normal cigarette maybe a little wider and about as long as a normal Marlboro red (if a Marlboro red was completely filled with tobacco instead of having a filter). they look to be hand rolled (but I could be wrong) and are made in Germany. they smell like a rich vanilla pudding before lit, and get more of a tobacco smell once burnt. they taste delicious, the vanilla is strong but does not take away from the taste of the rich, medium colored tobacco. I don’t think their meant to be inhaled but I do occasionally without any throat irritation, their a little harsh when inhaled but that’s how unfiltered tobacco products tend to be in general in my opinion. if you do inhale these expect a tremendous buzz. I will definitely buy these again, additionally I look forward to trying both the expresso and original flavored ones too

Very strong and spicy, but left unique taste in the mouth. It’s better to roll with other tobacco. One or two pieces are enough for one roll.
