Glad I tried them. I like them better than the originals. Very nice fresh tobacco. A bit mild. No nicotine or tar contents in the package. Duty free.

Certainly not a good smoke by any means. At very best these are average. Quite disappointed with these. I was expecting much better.

Long filter (maybe charcoal inside). The tobacco is very pure and packed like Natural American Spirit. Flavor is warm, savory, and a little sweet. Robust nicotine content!

The 555 Golds are not at all the same as 555 Originals–but they are every bit as good. The 555 Original is a ‘darker’ and woodier-tasting blend of what is probably Virginia Bright and Burley tobaccos. 555 Gold seems to use the same, high-quality Virginia Bright without any Burley–giving it the somewhat ‘lighter’ and ‘sharper’ flavor typical of yellow(or ‘gold’)tobacco. In comparison with the 555 Original, the 555 Gold also seems a bit less tightly packed into each cigarette–which prevents the Bright tobacco from tasting sour. Both 555 Gold and Original are equally well-constructed and beautifully packaged cigarettes. While I generally prefer the ‘darker,’ more complex flavor of 555 Originals, I do enjoy the ‘lighter’ taste of the 555 Gold for a change of pace. Both varieties are the highest quality tobacco available–free from any filthy FSC aftertaste and fresh from ciggiesworld. In my book 555 State Express Original and Gold are both superior to Dunhills and other premium European brands–but you will have to let your own taste decide.
